Beethoven Violin Concerto Kogan U.K. Columbia SAX 2386 Magic Notes ED1 Is this the most collectible of all Desert Island Discs. A sublime performance and a superb recording makes this early U.K. Columbia record much sought after. Leonid Kogan with the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra conducted by Constantin Silvestri performs the Beethoven “Violin Concerto”. An English stereo pressing on the Columbia Label (SAX 2386 Matrix YLX 1052-1 & YLX 1053-1 and a 1 on the left an G to the right), the labels are blue/green with silver border and “radio waves” and black Columbia and stereo flash with magic note logo. The record is of immaculate appearance (no spindle marks) and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. This is quite simply one of the finest classical records I have heard. The cover laminate has rubbed a little and is otherwise in excellent condition condition. Payment Payment by credit card or Paypal is preferred – direct debit also available to Australian buyers. Postage Within Australia is $8.00 (Aust). Add $2.50 for each additional record. 4 records or more are a flat rate of $15 International postage is by economy air (10 to 14 days) to Asia is £8.95 ($16 Aust). Britain, Europe and the US is £9.95 (18 Aust). Add an additional £2.79 (5.00 Aust) for each additional record. Powered by eBay Turbo Lister
