BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS, KAYA, REGGAE VINYL LP Bob Marley & The Wailers – Kaya Robert “Bob” Nesta Marley (February 6, 1945 - May 11, 1981) was a Jamaican singer, songwriter, guitarist, and activist. He was the frontman, lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for the ska, rocksteady and reggae bands: The Wailers (1964-1974) and Bob Marley & The Wailers (1974-1981). He is the most widely known performer of ska/reggae music, and is often credited for helping spread Jamaican music to the worldwide audience. Kaya is a roots reggae album released in 1978. Side One: Easy Skanking; Kaya; Is This Love; Sun Is Shining; Satisfy My Soul. Side Two: She’s Gone; Misty Morning; Crisis; Running Away; Time Will Tell. The album is on Tuff Gong Records, ILPS 9517. Matrix side one: ILPS 9517 A-2U (stamped). Matrix side two: ILPS 9517 B-1 (stamped). Released in 1978. UK pressing. Stereo. Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, including from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light) Vinyl side 1: very good (a few superficial surface marks can be seen that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault). Vinyl side 2: very good (a few surface marks can be seen, one wich caused 8 light clicks at the very end of track 3, the rest plays without fault). Cover (glossy): excellent (has a few indetations on the front - see photos). The record plays with no jumps, skips or sticks and minimal crackle. I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Check out the other records that I am selling at the moment by clicking on ‘view seller's other items’. RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM: MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. Buyers outwith the UK payment by PayPal only.
