Description This is a reasonably priced 1950s ERA TICO RECORDS U.S. MONO LP titled 'Flying Down To Rio' from Latin music pioneers Caney Orchestra. It is Tico Records catalog number 1048, thick heavy rigid vinyl deep groove pressing, shiny black Tico labels with silver print. This LP appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the past month as far as I can tell, and there are records of only three previous eBay sales of this LP (none since 2012) in the Popsike site which keeps track of previous eBay sales of LPs. Record is a deep groove pressing on heavy 1950s era vinyl and plays very nicely with almost no surface noise. Condition of cover is a low VG+ with the main flaw being two splits each in the top and bottom edges (I have carefully and neatly repaired these splits by taping from the inside). The original selling price is written in pencil near the top right corner of the back cover. Cove also has some small light stains, some age discoloration on the white areas of the back cover, some contact and ring wear, and some wear and flaking along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no water damage, tears, or stickers. This RARE vintage LP would be a choice addition to any Latin music record collection!
