DENNIS BROWN, HOLD TIGHT, LIVE & LEARN REGGAE VINYL LP Dennis Brown – Hold Tight Dennis Emmanuel Brown (February 1, 1957 - July 1, 1999) was a Jamaican reggae singer. During his prolific career, which began in the late 1960s when he was aged 11, he recorded more than 75 albums and was one of the major stars of lovers rock, a sub-genre of reggae. Bob Marley cited him as his favourite singer, dubbing him “The Crown Prince of Reggae”, and he would prove hugely influential on future generations of reggae singers. Side One: Hold Tight; Indiscipline Women; Footstool; Let Him Go. Side Two: When Spring Is Around; I’ve Got Your Woman; Worried Man; Things In Life. The album is on Live & Learn Records, LL LP 21. Matrix side one: LLLP 21 A1 (written). Matrix side two: LLLP 21 B1 (written). Released in 1986. UK pressing. Stereo. Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, including from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light) Vinyl side 1: excellent (a few light superficial surface marks and some marks transferred from the plastic inner sleeve can be seen that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault). Vinyl side 2: excellent (a few light superficial surface marks and some marks transferred from the plastic inner sleeve can be seen that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault). Cover (glossy): excellent (some light rubbing on bottom edge, still in original shrink wrap only split at opening edge - see photos). The record plays like new with no jumps, skips or clicks and minimal crackle. I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Check out the other records that I am selling at the moment by clicking on ‘view seller's other items’. RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM: MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. Buyers outwith the UK payment by PayPal only.
