STEEL PULSE, TRIBUTE TO THE MARTYRS, REGGAE VINYL LP Steel Pulse – Tribute to the Martyrs Steel Pulse are a roots reggae musical band originally formed at Handsworth Wood Boys School, in Birmingham, England. Formed in 1975, their debut release, Kibudu, Mansetta And Abuku arrived on the small independent label Dip, and linked the plight of urban black youth with the image of a greater African homeland. Tribute to the Martyrs was released 1979. Side One: Unseen Guest; Sound System; Jah Pickney - R.A.R.; Tribute To The Martyrs. Side Two: Babylon Makes The Rules; Uncle George; Biko’s Kindred Lament; Blasphemy (Selah). The album is on Island Records, ILPS 9568. Matrix side one: ILPS 9568 A-3U (stamped). Matrix side two: ILPS 9568 B-4U (stamped). Released in 1979. UK pressing. Stereo. Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, including from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light) Vinyl side 1: very good (a few superficial surface marks can be seen that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault). Vinyl side 2: very good (a few superficial surface marks can be seen that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault). Cover (matt): excellent (a few small stain spots on back - see photos). Comes with the original lyric inner sleeve in very good condition (a few light creases) The record plays like new with no jumps, skips or clicks and minimal crackle. I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Check out the other records that I am selling at the moment by clicking on ‘view seller's other items’. RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM: MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. Buyers outwith the UK payment by PayPal only.
