PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. Incidentally,The bearded fellow in the middle on the back cover is nothing more and nothing less than the former Yardbirds original vocalist Keith Relf who not only produced this record, but also joined ranks on bass... changing the former duo's folk/blues/rock sound into a terrific stripped down heavy rock effort, complete with dynamic catchy songs ... making this effort easily the best Medicine Head album, along with their first effort. CHECK OUT THE SOUND OF MEDICINE HEADS' DARK SIDE OF THE MOON BY CLICKING ON THIS NEXT LINE => Medicine Head - Back To The Wall - YouTube Formed in Stafford, England in 1968, the British blues/folk hippie duo Medicine Head were comprised of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist John Fiddler and vocalist Peter Hope-Evans. Upon their formation at art college, Medicine Head became a staple of the local club circuit, eventually recording a demo which found its way to influential BBC radio personality John Peel, who began championing the track "His Guiding Hand." Other DJs soon followed suit, and quickly the duo was on the brink of stardom in the united Kingdom. With Peel's continued assistance, Medicine Head entered the studio to begin recording their great 1970 debut LP New Bottles Old Medicine. Their focus shifted from basic blues to a more intricate sound for 1971's Heavy on the Drum, produced by former Yardbird Keith Relf; after scoring a surprise hit with the single "(And the) Pictures in the Sky," Hope-Evans left the group, and was replaced by Relf and drummer John Davies for 1972's The Dark Side of the Moon, as a heavy edged distortion-guitar trio complete with fuzz bass & killer infectious song melodies.... "Dark Side Of The Moon" pre-dated Pink Floyds same title for their own magnum opus by a full year ...Luckily for Pink Floyd, who wanted to use the same title, Medicine Head's album went nowhere on the commercial market, so Floyd was free to use the title after all. Nevertheless, this is decidedly Medicine Head's best album filled with great, raw, raucous but with controlled efforts fitting nicely in memorable melodies that make the album so highly regarded ... The set consists of Fiddler-(distrotion) guitar/vocals, Keith Relf fuzz-bass, and John Davies-drums. Medicine Heads own "Dark Side..." has plenty of rewards if you listen closely, growing exceedingly well with repeat plays..yeah, the kind of tunes that get stuck in ones head, even with the accompaniment of the raw fuzz guitar. Overall, the raw, unpolished sound and feel is highly present throughout the album. Fiddler's distorted guitar, which also has a shimmering tone in the melodious tracks, are highlighted by delicious laid back vocals. The guitar/bass/drums rhythm section with sparse feel (in part courtesy of producer Relf) are what makes this album so appealing... Listen closely to songs like "On This Road", "You And Me", "Only To Do What Is True" and "You Can Make It Here", and you'll hear the Medicine Head slightly twisted & raw sound that adds up to something special about it - and keeps you listening, wanting to hear more.
