Description DESCRIPTION If you’re looking at this listing then you almost certainly know the story behind this LP, suffice to say that this is the classic live recording of the satirical revue featuring Alan Bennett, Pete’n’Dud, and Jonathan Miller. The recording was produced by George Martin prior to his involvement with The Beatles. The LP, released in 1961, is the 1st Mono repress (with the black & yellow Parlophone label), rushed out shortly after the 1st press became an unexpected hit. I also have a Derek & Clive LP (‘Ad Nauseum’) up for auction at the moment, plus a decent copy of the 1st album by the Dudley Moore Trio - check my listings if you’re interested. CONDITION I’d grade the LP as VG+ (visual grading). There are a few very small non-palpable marks but nothing of any note. The sleeve is about VG; there’s some sticker residue to the top RH corner plus some corner bumps and some marks to the rear sleeve (see photos).
