Description Big Star Ballad of El Goodo Ardent/Stax (AS-01064) (STXM-0302) 1972 Test pressing of "Ballad of El Goodo" single that was never issued. Amazing Memphis music rarity. Had a guy on the inside at Ardent that pulled the details on this - see it in the info images, as well as the matrix and inscriptions, including Larry Nix's signature "L Nix", who cut all the lacquers for Ardent. Sounds like it might be a different mix than the LP version to me (the other Big Star Ardent 45s are) but I can't confirm this. Condition: Record: VG++, clean glossy vinyl, plain white label.
