This is a great condition (embossed-box) UK 1st press copy of what is potentially the original ‘doom-metal’ album, ‘Master Of Reality,’ by Black Sabbath. Doom doesn’t come much closer than the post-nuclear jolly that is ‘Children of the Grave’… This copy has a spotless (if aging) original swirl inner and equally clan inverted black/white side B label – in a box that is now slightly flatter, but in generally fantastic condition for what is nearly a 50 year old (and mainly black) cover! There is some very minor creasing and laminate bubbling throughout as to be expected, but no other noticeable marks – and a spotless spine. I’m selling this on behalf of a client and so haven’t attempted to remove the upper-right sticker, but being a laminated box this shouldn’t prove difficult for the buyer. No poster I’m afraid with this item! The disc has very few usage marks overall and would be an easy EX grading, other than for one noticeable scuff on A (see pictures); which admittedly on first testing did skip until I hand cleaned the disc and re-play tested, without any issue. I believe the audio infidelity to not have been the mark as much as the dirt built up in it from years of lack of use (see my FYI below). Be aware however: I will not be accepting returns on this item as it has been tested and adequately described – if you feel you may have an issue with this item due to using a particularly lightly weighted system then please do not bid and complain! This is a great playable example of a desirable laminated 1st pressing, so grab an iconic ‘Sabbath album on vinyl! Info: (6360 050) Record Size: 12”Record Grading: VG+Sleeve Grading: EXRecord Label: VertigoTitle: Master Of RealitySpeed: 33RPMRelease Year: 1971Country/Region of Manufacture: UKGenre: Rock/Heavy MetalLanguage: EnglishDecade: 70’sArtist: Black Sabbath FYI: This is a collection being sold on behalf of a client, whom has been collecting some 50 years. It includes many 1st owner and 1st pressing items - the majority of which are EX condition records in EX/VG+ graded sleeves due to spine wear; having been stored on a shelf without plastic sleeving. I operate the online-sales arm of a UK record shop and therefore aim to ensure accuracy in grading – I visually grade unless I can feel a mark which warrants further play-testing. Many of the discs themselves only have very minor marks, but do have groove buildup due to not having been out in years - while I have hand-cleaned with Isopropyl solution and a microfibre (and then tested where needed), some have resulting minor background crackle and really would sound fantastic with a further session on a professional cleaning machine! Starting-prices have been chosen competitively given Discogs and Popsike, and items will be safely packaged for postage; with discs firstly decanted into new separate inners, that inner and the sleeve then being placed in a new plastic outer sleeve and then shipped using professional grade record-mailers. 1) Please request an invoice before making payment if you wish for an alternative postage option (economy etc.) see options below; please bear in mind international economy via Royal Mail is quoted to me in the U.K as UP TO 80 DAYS. 2) I reserve the right to request tracked postage only on high-value items. 3) I only send to Russia via tracked postage due to previous mailers disappearing!
