There is a more serious mark on the first track of Side Two, but it plays well. The cover has heavy age and shelf wear and some heavy rubbing on the spine. This is an unknown self released private pressing. The cover appears to be hand made and it is pasted on. The back is all type written with some very humorous endorsements. I think this might be from the Tucson Arizona area, but am not sure, probably around the mid 70's. The songs are raw and organic sounding with some shaky individual vocals but great harmonies. Great instrumentation with banjo, acoustic guitar and some bass. There are some originals and some covers. They do a great job on River Come Down, and use humor on some of the originals, including Mother Russian Trucker. In that song, the singer is being chased by the KGB because he has a load of "rockets' in his truck. Him and his gal also get "higher than Sputnick." This may be your only opportunity to own this!! VJ'S VINYL GRADING SYSTEM:(based on Goldmine) Mint - never used, once a record is opened, the top you can get is mint minus.Mint Minus - A great record, one or two fine hairline scuffs, sounds flawless. A mint minus record can "play" mint. Covers are new looking, may have shrink.Excellent - Can have faint hairline scuffs that do no affect play. Can have very minor infrequent crackling. Minor bumps in the cover.VG+ - Scuffs can be more prevalent, with a little more surface noise. If it visually has more scuffs but plays great, I will note that. Still, a very fine and playable copy. Covers have minor age and shelf wear. VG - Can have lots of hairline scuffs, and maybe one or two scratches. Surface noise more prevalent with some popping in spots. Covers have more extensive age and shelf wear. Minor splits.VG minus - More in the way of scratches and surface noise is NOT infrequent. Still, a viable copy. Covers may have splits. This is an in between buffer grade between VG and G+ that I have chosen to use. G+ - only reserved for a very rare or popular record. Very noisy, maybe some skips, scratches are evident. Covers are trashed. STILL SEALED - I will grade the vinyl as "still sealed." That means it's probably mint minus, but I do not know if there was any factory defects. Hairline scuffs - are light yet visible. You cannot feel them with the skin of your finger. (I cannot fathom feeling it with your fingernail as described in Goldmine...why would you do that?) Scratches you can feel. If I am on the fence between grades, I will go with the lower one. I will not use VG++ etc., but will say that a record is a "strong" VG+.
