JOHN LE MESURIER What Is Going To Become Of Us All? LP This album is an oasis of calm and lyrical beauty in a modern world. The late actor reads poetry, short stories and even sings a bit, accompanied by Alan Clare who gets a solo feature. The under-rated Annie Ross contributes a couple of songs herself. This album provides an interesting insight into the true John Le Mesurier. He talks to the listener as if he were an old friend. He has chosen his favourite pieces of music, and favourite readings, including some Stephen Leacock stories his father read to him as a boy. It’s a reminder of a rather lovely man – from a more gentle age of acting and comedy. LABEL: Reprise K54080 Stereo ISSUED: 1976 RECORD CONDITION: Near Mint. NO scuffs or scratches.
