Description ***PLEASE READ THE TERMS BELOW BEFORE BIDDING!!! THANK YOU*** LITTLE BY LITTLE s/t (UK Hollick & Taylor, HT LP 1174, 1969) SUPER RARE ACETATE DEMO DISC!! Have tried to look into this band but have found very little - the front cover reveals their management were based in Stourbridge but that is all I can find!! Being on the Hollick & Taylor demo label it is easy to tell this band were part of the Brum Beat scene!!Honestly this is a superb discovery that I have held onto for some time - musically it is a mixture of mod, garage rock and soul with some really tasty organ work and some nice delay used in parts which gives it a nice psychedelic sound!! Great punchy mono sound too!! Amazing it was recorded as late as Spring 1969 as the sleeve suggests - it sounds like it was recorded a lot earlier!!Side 1 consists of 4 originals and Side 2 is a 12-minute medley consisting of originals and covers (they go briefly into brilliant takes of Nights In White Satin, Smile and Sunny amongst others) - check out the sound-clips below!!Hollick & Taylor were a studio based in Birmingham who would let bands cut their demo and take home a disc for a fair price at the time!! Also interesting is that the disc is pressed on vinyl itself so no worries about it wearing out like it would with an acetate!! Disc is VG++ : clean disc and labels, light marks only and nothing heavy - disc does not look worn or over-played - as heard in the soundclips there is a little crackle noticeably on the first song on side 1 (mostly in the right channel) but there are absolutely no jumps at all and it does not sound worn - check it out for yourself!!Plain card sleeve is VG++ : light yellowing and ring wear, stickers on front have yellowed but all intact, no splits or tears!!
