This picture disc is the only vinyl issue of this Fall album. Limited to only 1000 numbered copies. This is #294. Came in a die-cut picture sleeve. From my own personal collection and purchased from new within a couple of days from release. I always treat my record collection with respect and this item has been cared for. The vinyl has only had several plays and the album cover has been stored in an outer protective sleeve since purchase. OK, where to begin with the condition of this one. Firstly, let me say that I have been buying vinyl LPs since the 70s and must have heard/played 1000s of LPs over the years. The Pic Disc issue of Are You Are Missing Winner is one of the worst pressings that I have ever heard. I appreciate that due to the manufacturing process picture disc sound quality will always be inferior to regular vinyl, plus they wear out quicker as well, but AYAMW is particularly poor. Please be assured this album has only been played several times. I played it the other day and it sounds like its been played dozens of times. If you've got high-end Hi-Fi equipment, the pressing quality of this album will be exposed. Back in the day when I only had a basic turntable with a cheap spherical (S) tipped stylus, it more than likely might've sounded OK??? I wouldn't be at all surprised that copies that sell for three figures probably don't play that much better than this one, as dealers very rarely play-test. Because this is an album by The Fall, it needs to be heard. I am including in the auction a free 12 track CD-R of the album. The music is sourced digitally (not a recording of the vinyl) will sound no different to a retail CD copy of this album. It also includes 2 bonus tracks not on the vinyl LP; New Formation Sermon and Where's The Fuckin Taxi? Cunt. The CD has track IDs, so you can skip to any track you wish. The CD-R is a Consumer Audio CD-R, which means that is should be playable on all CD players/drives. Just to confirm, the winning bidder is buying the picture disc album. The accompanying CD-R is free. If you're a Fall completist or a Picture Disc collector then it's good news from now on, as this item has been well looked after. The disc still looks nice and neat and is easily visually graded as EX. If you stare at it long and hard enough you may see some faint/light surface marks. The die-cut album cover is graded as NrMINT/MINT. It's the right thing to do to make potential buyers aware of the pressing quality. You pays your money and you takes your choice.
