Description The Yusef Lateef Quintet: The Sounds of Yusef, first U.K. pressing released on the Esquire label (cat no 32-069) in 1958. Vinyl retains a lovely sheen but upon close inspection there are a few light marks and superficial scratches. The record plays through with no sticks or jumps. There is some background ''crackle'' audible in places as well as an occasional ''pop'' and there are a few ''clicks'' in two places that do not last for long. This is certainly still a very enjoyable listening experience with nothing overly intrusive. The labels remain in nice condition with a hint of age discoloration around the centres. The outer cover has no major rips or tears but does have some laminate lifting, discoloration, staining and small tears & creases. All in all a decent copy of an extremely rare record.
