Sounds Of The Space Age - From Sputnik To Lunar Landing (5:46) Our Records Except for records that are still sealed, all our records are first cleaned by hand, and the 12” vinyl LP albums are further cleaned with a professional cleaning machine. After cleaning, all non-sealed records are played completely through and digitized onto our computer (the .WAV files are cleaned up using software – look HERE for complete information). In our listings, we provide the standard VISUAL rating of the record, using the Goldmine rating system, but we also provide an accurate and conservative rating and description of the actual PLAY-ABILITY of the record, which will at least include whether the record plays through without skipping or repeating, and a description of the amount of background hiss, clicking noise, and louder popping noise. We may also mention other aspects of play-ability. Price is determined, at least in part, by the play-ability rating! We also provide generic replacements for any missing inner sleeves and/or album covers. This Record Listing: Visual Rating: VG (Very Good): This Flexi-Disc is in VG (Very Good) visual condition. Both sides are shiny and clean with minimal scuffing and scratching. There are no tears in the plastic, and the center holes are round and wear-free. A new generic paper sleeve is provided. Play-Ability Rating: VG- (Very Good Minus): Other than the narration, this recording is mostly radio transmissions that are of low quality to begin with. Background hiss on side A is generally about medium, with clicking and ticking noises being mild to medium. I heard a few louder popping noises, but no distortion. Play-ability for side A is VG- (Very Good Minus). On side B, the background hiss is again about medium, with clicking and ticking noises mostly mild.
