P "LP...is VG++ condition, cover shows some age wear and soil.Fantastic phone cover art.Autographed.Legendary radio personality in Dayton OHIO.1970's vintage, small independent record label. QUOTES There is a quirky rarity out there somewhere which was released in the early 1970s as an LP entitled "Steve Kirk Put-Ons." Steve was notorious as you know with putting on pranks with listeners on the air. I remember it being advertised on "Clubhouse 22" on WKEF-TV but never ever saw the LP sold in stores in any of the smaller towns north of Dayton.Wish I had that album to this day....if anyone has it,please post the audio online and let us have a listen. Believe it or not, I had that album at one time, but don't anymore. I think we used it at WING in the 80's during a time when we brought the put-ons back on Steve's show. (Though the FCC had begun to tighten the rules regarding identifying telephone recordings, these were old calls which the station and Steve had obtained permission to air, so we felt we were in safe ground to replay them). The best one on the album for me was when he called the "Mother/Manager" of a local rock band saying he wanted to hire the band for a party at his home. When he told Mom that it would be a nudist party and the band would have to play in the altogether, the woman's exclamation of "OVER MY DEAD BODY!" was a classic!
