Barcode and Other Identifiers: Matrix / Runout (Side A): AF-001-AMatrix / Runout (Side B): AF-001-BMatrix / Runout (Side A - Scratched Out): AP 275 A Agnostic Front is an American hardcore band that formed in New York City in 1980. The band began playing hardcore punk similar to bands like Black Flag and Negative Approach, and were thrust to the forefront of the burgeoning New York hardcore scene in the mid-1980s with their widely regarded 1984 classic Victim in Pain before evolving to incorporate thrash metal elements into their music. By the late '90s, Agnostic Front had signed with Epitaph Records and adopted a street punk sound before growing into a crossover metallic hardcore hybrid similar to bands like Hatebreed and Madball. Agnostic Front is an American crossover thrash band. The band began playing hardcore punk similar to their contemporaries, and were thrust to the forefront of the burgeoning New York hardcore scene in the mid-1980s with their widely regarded 1984 classic Victim in Pain before incorporating thrash metal elements into their music. Formed by guitarist Vinnie Stigma (formerly of the Eliminators) in December 1980, with Diego on bass and Rob Krekus on drums. Agnostic Front went through several singers, two of them being John Watson and Jimmy "The Mad Russian", before settling with Roger Miret (former bass player of The Psychos). They soon added Ray Barbieri, aka Raybeez (Warzone), on drums and Adam Mucci on bass. Their debut EP United Blood, released in 1983 on an indie label, has since become a collector's item. At this time, the band consisted entirely of skinheads. Although this would change over time, Agnostic Front would continue to feature skinheads as part of their line-up. 8===8 "Agnostic Front was always a great band throughout the years... Always crazy pits at their shows - and a crazier following... NY Skins, DC Skins, and Baltimore Skins - fun times - then everyone grew their hair and went mosh-metal... I picked this up at one of their earlier shows when it first came out... This is the first edition that had the white B-side label (read above)... Thirty-one year old record - amazing slab of hardcore history..." 8===8 Welcome to the Skeleton Closet! I was a rabid music collector for 30+ years - Punk and Hardcore in the early-Eighties, Death Metal and Grunge in the late-Eighties, Industrial and Experimental in the early-Nineties, and Goa Trance and Psytrance in the late-Nineties and early-2000s… I also worked at a record company for 13 years, toured North America with numerous international acts, DJed internationally, produced festivals, and had a clothing importing company. So in this time, I’ve accumulated a lot of interesting and limited items... Family life and other life changes have made me decide to unload my collection. For the majority of the items, I have been the original owner of the item. I try to be accurate on my description and condition of the items. I have a lot to sell, so check back often -- I’ll try to keep the new listings coming weekly... 8===8 I ship immediately upon payment. All records are bubble-wrapped and mailed in new, corrugated cardboard record boxes, compact discs are mailed in new, bubble-wrapped padded envelopes. I provide tracking information, and I insure any item over $100.On May-06-14 at 21:39:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Question from an eBayer: "Hi, are you 100% sure this is not boot leg? Have you owned this for long/ or know where it came from. There are some very convincing bootlegs around for this. Thanks" The Skeleton Closet Response: "Hey. I'm 47, and I was in 11 grade (16 or 17) when I bought this at a AF show from the band - Philly, I believe. The band and myself still had shaved heads at the time... The 'youth crew' collector/bootleggers were a few years away..." - - - I believe the actual show was at Love Hall in Philly in early '84 - w/ Iron Cross and Nihilistics and a few others (HR Giger flyer)... But I also recall them playing at C.E. Center in Philly around that same time - memory fades... Thanks for asking!
