This is a first pressing, blue vinyl single. The sleeve is in EX+/NM condition and the vinyl is Mint. It is numbered 342 of 2000. I had this signed by GG on May 13th, 1993. That afternoon my friend and I traveled an hour north to attend the show that night in Richmond, VA at “The Metro”. We entered the downstairs bar and went up the stairs to the concert area. We hung out by the doorway and listened to the band do their soundcheck. As everyone was leaving I approached Merle (who was an absolute gentleman) and I asked him if it was ok for me to film the show that night with my video camera. He very politely told me that I was not allowed to, but I sneaked the camera in to the show that night and filmed it anyway (sorry, Merle). We saw GG walk to a bar across the street; after a little while we went over to talk to him. I hate to ruin his image for some of you, but he was actually very nice and accommodating, although that may not have always been the case. He was sitting at a table with several people and having what I perceived to be some sort of business meeting. When we approached him he loudly announced to the people at the table (possibly for effect or to imply celebrity status to his associates) something along the lines of “You’ll have to excuse me guys…I need a minute to take care of my fans”. He signed all of our records and took a series of photos with us. We talked with him for a minute and he then went back to his discussion with the folks at the table. Later that night we attended the show. I would estimate that there were about 50-75 people there. Before GG and the Murder Junkies took the stage, I used a large stack of folding chairs to form a barricade at the back of the venue; partly to hide the fact that I was filming and partly to stay the hell out of GG’s path. I was pretty daring back then but I wasn’t stupid. The entire show lasted a mere 30 minutes, but all of the attendees got exactly what they came there for. Here is some footage on Youtube that someone else filmed from that night. It’s the sound check and 15 minutes of the show. CLICK HERE I never uploaded my video to the internet or sold it to anybody, I just gave copies to a couple of friends approximately 20 years ago. I’ll include a DVD copy of it for you if you win the auction. You can contact me if you have any questions. Please check out all of my other rock/metal autographs and collectibles (click on the "See other items" link that is in the the seller information section in the upper right corner of this listing).
