She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere, So I looked around and I noticed there wasn't a chair. I sat on a rug, drinking her wine, biding my time, We talked until two and then she said, "It's time for bed." She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh, I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath. ALL THE ABOVE ITEMS HAVE NOT BEEN TOUCHED OR SEEN THE LIGHT OF DAY SINCE THIS LEFT EMI IN 1994,   SO EVERYTHING IS PRECISELY HOW IT WAS MADE IN 1994, SO MINT CONDITION.   SIDE 1   "Love Me Do"   "Please Please Me"   "From Me To You"   "She Loves You"   "I Want To Hold Your Hand"   "All My Loving"   "Can't Buy Me Love"   SIDE 2   "A Hard Day's Night"   "And I Love Her"   "Eight Days A Week"   "I Feel Fine"   "Ticket To Ride"   "Yesterday"     SIDE 3   "Help"   "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away"   "We Can Work It Out"   "Day Tripper"   "Drive My Car"   "Norwegian Wood"    SIDE 4   "Nowhere Man"   "Michelle"   "In My Life"   "Girl"   "Paperback Writer"   "Eleanor Rigby"   "Yellow Submarine" "The Beatles /1962 -1966" red vinyl 1994 Limited Edition pressing is by far rarer than the 1978 colour vinyl versions because so   few were made and sold, still sealed shrink in wrapping is exceptionally rare.  'Virgin' and 'HMV' had some copies shrink wrapped   and this looks exactly how it was first seen in Virgin Records, complete with their standard yellow and black price sticker with,    "Virgin £12. 99."  Most people removed the shrinkwrapping on purchase, played the records and handled the lyric inners & insert. This is an unopened copy and the shrinkwrapping is very close to being intact with only the mentioned parting that releived the stress that causes contortion and bent corners, spines and edges.  Just tiny pulling on the bottom  right corner whih once again can be viewed in my revealing close up picture of the corresponding position on the back bottom left corner.  Taken to show the   printing anomoly of a diagonal, slightly offset white line, almost fulfilling the 20th century tradition of a Beatles album having unique individual factory finishes.  I must emphasise how over all the decades since the 60's, it has always been the unplanned printing errors printing that add to long term values, of most importance, the contents have never seen the light of day thanks to the opening edges remaining  sealed.  Which means no dust or atmospheric staining or ageing, it may sound strange to discuss ageing but nearly twenty years is a really long time in the life of a double album's gatefold cover, and for all the other contents.   Not just for vinyl, take a look at one of your 19 years old CD's and compare the jewel cases and books / inlays to a newly bought one. On the front's outside top right hand  corner is something lost when the shrinkwrapping was removed in 1994, unless it was re-stuck directly onto the cover, the original largest London record  shops price stickers, so you also have everything precisely as it was on the day this amazing condition pair of "Red & Blue Albums" were purchased.  I know some sellers deliberately remove such historic items as if they contaminate the record, sheer stupidity because antiques leap in value if original packaging and the price tag or a receipt were also kept.  "HMV" & "Virgin" during the 1990's decade were and still are, just about the UK's biggest record/CD/DVD retailers, their respective distinctive purple and yellow 1990's price stickers will become prized items. Throughout the 1970's decade then into the 80's CD digital era and still to today, the double albums,"The Beatles/1962 - 1966"   and "The Beatles / 1966 -1970," have been the most popular way to have the greatest collection of major Beatles recordings.     The first issue came during 1973, two double albums were needed to gather together the wealth of incredible music that spanned   a whole decade.  The gatefold cover had a definitive format, the front of the "Red Album" featured the famous 1963 picture taken on the balcony of EMI's London offices for their debut album,"Please Please Me".  This time without titles and titles printed onto   the picture even the Angus McBean photographer's credit was left off.  The back of the gatefold cover featured four very different    looking individuals in 1969, they had returned to the same balcony and that picture was taken around the "Get Back" period.     The 1966 - 1970 "Blue Album" had those pictures reversed so the front showed the Beatles at the end of their career, not at the   beginning.  Inside over both panels was a superb picture of the four intermingled with children, taken in July 1968 at St.Pancras    Church Yard in London.  Two versions were made, on standard black vinyl and limited editions on colour vinyl, naturally in red   and blue.  Cassettes and 8 tracks versions were made and the CD's followed in the 1980's, why EMI decided to return to colour    vinyl pressings only in 1994 might be tied into plans to launch the biggest Beatles revival in over 30 years, "Anthology" series.   Often 'Limited Editions' are in reality, made in huge numbers, but vinyl in 1994 was in the most severe decline ever known, most    record shops had removed all records to fill their spaces with CD's.  Plus pre-"Anthology" in 1996, when vinyl would undergo a    a renaissance, as record sellers, we were selling more original Beatles albums on  vinyl at record fairs, than record shops were!   The fact EMI did not press them on black vinyl does suggest they were made to test the reaction of a rapidly dwindling hardcore    of vinyl die-hards. The same people were filling up massive exhibition halls of the biggest record fairs and long queues formed    around them before opening times, so that minority were not exactly that small because we collected CD's and vinyl.  When EMI    released these final versions of the "Red" & "Blue" albums on the 14th February 1994, the numbers made are known and they   were extremely low for  Beatles records. They only pressed 20,000 copies and although every single one was instantaneously    snapped up, EMI immediately deleted the titles from their catalogue. I know that because I tried buying more for customers at   record fairs, so a 'Limited Edition' in the truest sense.  EMI had learnt Beatles vinyl was indeed still in demand but the numbers    made were just about in proportion to a current demand in early 1994. It is hard to take in I am now discussing events nineteen    years ago, because since the Internet and ebay etc. there have been so many changes made in the music business, we are still   in an unstable situation regarding actual CD album sales against downloading. In early 1994, unable to improve on such a perfect format for the tracks and cover, EMI stayed faithful to the 1970's conception,    with 'Limited Edition' pressings on red and blue vinyl.  Apart from using digital technology of the mid-1990's, a major difference   was this time both albums had an individual two sided 12"x 12" colour insert, with the tracks and a promo for the other album.   They were in blue or red per double album, with superb colour pictures on the reverse side from the period either album was set   in.  This "Red Album" began from the 1962 "Love Me Do", I must also mention how Abbey Road's Master tapes were used and the first three tracks on 'Record 1' were mastered in original 1963 mono.  From their embryonic first records, the tracks take you up to the 1966  track, "Yellow Submarine".  The "Blue Album" took it on from there with the rest of the Beatles recording highlights up to the final release in 1970.  The covers had a circular sticker on the front top right corner, printed in black and white with: "Limited Edition Red Vinyl Digitally Re-Mastered."   It's amusing to think now how in 1994 vinyl had become very much a minority format, CD's were threatening to completely wipe   out records even being pressed for new titles.  Since then the demand for vinyl has refused to diminish, the love of records and and full size human scale covers. {Roy}     R & M RECORDS. My lifetime's love of music and records began at a very young age, the arrival of the Beatles and the 1960's decade   in general had a very profound effect. It was only natural to bring all my first hand experience of collecting vinyl   into becoming a professional record seller.  Over twenty years ago now we entered into the wonderful atmosphere of record fairs with the highest possible standards set. When the Internet became the world's new market place for   vinyl, in 2001 it was time to join ebay. Those standards were rigidly adhered to as they will always continue to be, the basics of honesty and integrity were very much part of the era the music I love originated in, so here is our friendly and very efficient service we are proud to provide; EVERY RECORD IS FULLY PLAYED AND COMES WITH A 'NO ARGUMENT' MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.   I USE GOOD OLD COMMON SENSE AS WELL AS A GLOBALLY ACCEPTED GRADING TERMINOLOGY   FROM THE U.K. "RECORD COLLECTOR PRICE GUIDE" BOOK. THERE IT CLEARLY STATES "Sound Quality" AFFECTS EVERY GRADING LEVEL AND THAT IS THE ONE AND ONLY POSSIBLE WAY TO ACCURATELY GRADE RECORDS. i.e. COMBINING A STRICT VISUAL INSPECTION WITH VERY CLOSELY LISTENING TO EVERY SECOND, UNLESS PERHAPS IN THE CASE OF GENUINELY UNPLAYED VINYL.  EVEN THEN WE STILL TAKE FULL RESPONSIBITY FOR A RECORD WHEN A CUSTOMER RECEIVES EITHER A SEALED OR AN UNPLAYED RECORD.   MY DESCRIPTIONS WILL ALWAYS BE 100% HONEST AND TOTALLY ACCURATE ON ALL GRADINGS FROM 'V.G.' ( VERY GOOD), TO THE ULTIMATE 'MINT' CONDITION.
