The collector began his collection in the late 60's and continued to buy the best 70's classic rock albums when they originally came out. He told stories of frat parties in Madison with Led Zeppelin blasting and pledges jumping into aboveground pools! Some of the highlights include Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Beatles as many as some hard to find one-album groups. There are even some records from an older brother that cover a slightly earlier period with Little Richard and others. The records are mostly in nice condition-- covers are mostly in VG+, the vinyl often in VG+ as well. A sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. No cracks, scratches or warps.Excellent (EX or VG++) One or two light marks visible on the disc at most, otherwise full gloss. No cracks, scratches or warps. Sleeve shows 1-2 marks, nothing too major, maybe at the edges.Very Good Plus (VG+) A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled.Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Maybe also slight warps that do not affect the sound. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly bent corners, or a slight seam split. Very Good (VG) Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during the intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. Good (G), Good Plus (G+) A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches and groove wear. Tape, writing, seam splits, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object. I ship all records in new, sturdy mailers with cardboard filler pads. I separate the discs from the sleeves to avoid damage during shipping.
