Description Hello! You are looking at a RARE copy of the BESSIE JACKSON (nee Lucille Bogan) song "Shave 'Em Dry" - 78 RPM Shellac Record - underground label, unknown year (late 40's?). This copy is the UNCENSORED "Adult" or "Dirty" version recorded @ 1935, originally unissued from ARC with Walter Roland on piano. The song label is crisp and the shellac is in fantastic shape! It came from a great 1-owner collection of vintage stag records. The reverse side is a story about a lady who needs her pipes cleaned... Matrix info A-side: "YRD ME EVAHS 21" (etched), Matrix info B-side: "PT" (etched) Condition is a strong E all the way around (based on the VJM grading scale). There are only super minor hairline marks. I grade conservatively. The shellac has a *very* high amount of gloss and plays great! The white B-side story label appears faded, but the red A-side song label is in *outstanding* shape. A truly remarkable and CLEAN copy of this classic dirty blues!
