Lovely original 1977 version of this Bob Marley classic album on Island Records. Released over 40 years ago, this best-seller was distributed extensively worldwide and has had several re-issues and repressings over the years, with loads of sleeve/label variations. This is the original 1977 UK pressing with embossed Robor sleeve, complete with inner. There is a condition issue - so please read carefully if considering a bid. Artist: Bob Marley And The Wailers Title: Exodus Island Records Catalogue No: ILPS 9498 Matrix No’s: (Etched) ILPS 9498 A2/B Tracks: Side 1: 1) Natural Mystic, 2) So Much Things To Say, 3) Guiltiness, 4) The Heathen & 5) Exodus Side 2: 1) Jamming, 2) Waiting In Vain, 3) Turn Your Lights Down Low, 4) Three Little Birds & 5) One Love/People Get Ready Vinyl: VG+ Which on visual inspection, appears a harsh grading because it looks excellent. Only light superficial hairline surface marks and retaining a nice deep lustre and sheen. However - on play-testing, there is a jump around 50 seconds in on side 2 track 1, Jamming. The rest of the album plays beautifully. For this reason, I am reluctant to grade it as any higher. The labels are the standard Island company design for the period, featuring green palm tree against yellow/orange background, rimmed in blue. Label-text is black and the album title appears in red font at the 12 o’clock position. Labels are clean and free from scuffs, stains and blemishes with only light traces of spindle-wear. Sleeve: VG+ Lovely condition for its age. Matt finished card sleeve in gold, with the album title in red embossed lettering. Print finishing by Robor Ltd. it comes complete with the thin card inner sleeve, also in gold with chamfered edges. Exodus lyrics on one side and album credits on the other, along with thumbnail adverts for other Bob Marley albums. Both sleeve and inner are structurally sound with no splits, tears or creases. There’s some minor edge-wear at the opening edge, but the spine is solid and all the seams are securely stuck down. The biggest condition issue with the sleeve is a degree of fingermark discolouration. In summary - it’s a lovely example of a classic reggae album - with one small flaw on one track. If you can live with that minor flaw, the rest of the album is a delight. Offered for sale at a very realistic start price with no hidden reserves and happy to ship anywhere. (GSP applies to overseas) As always, I offer a full no-quibble money-back guarantee if any winning bidder not satisfied. Postage discounts available when combined with other items from current listings. Thanks very much for looking.
