Wax matrix marking: 29207 (stamped) The name of each of the 21 bugle calls on this record is announced by a male voice just as the call begins. The announcer is not credited. The bugle player is also not announced, which is a shame because the playing is excellent. These bugle calls are short; some of them are only a handful of notes. I am including the vintage cardstock sleeve in which the record was found. It is from Waddington & Sons Ltd, a firm that claimed to sell "the world's best records". The company also sold music rolls and pianos. It was established in 1836. I found some newspaper ads for Waddington going back to the decade of the 1910s, so it is very possible that the sleeve is original to the record!
