Hello record collectors and vinyl junkies, I'm in the process of selling off the majority of my record collection to finance the ongoing restoration of a classic car...hopefully without going bankrupt! So please check back often, as I'll be listing hundreds of LPs over the next few months. Anyway, let's continue with this one titled Capt. Nickerson and the Tug Gaspee released by Droll Yankee Records in 1960. (DYA 4 Monophonic) Hard to find private pressing. This LP features recordings made on board the Tugboat Gaspee in 1960. Also heard is Capt. Nickerson telling stories of sailing on the East Coast. This LP contains recordings of the following automobiles:Side one: The Tug Gaspee you are on a tug boat in Providence Harbor as it docks a lumber ship under the command of Capt. NickersonSide two: A recording is made in the pilot house of the tug as the captain told of his experiences on three and four masted schooners sailing the New England coast. Both LP and Cover are in very good condition. The LP has a few very light marks that are visible under a bright spotlight and cause an occasional bit of light surface noise when played. The cover has a bit of ring wear, light wear on the seams and some writing on the front in pencil but no seam splits, cut out marks, rips, tears or other flaws. I grade on a stricter scale than Goldmine (at least the watered down version that seems to exist here on eBay) I will take the time to describe any flaws on both the cover and record itself rather than give a letter grade that will mean something different to seemingly every record buyer and seller. I am a very picky record collector and have been let down many times buying a record that was graded VG++ or NM here on eBay and other mail order services that were pretty beat up...and I'm sure that has happened to you too! Sorry if the photos above appear washed out...this is caused by the camera flash...the colors are brighter and bolder in person. Please feel free to email with any questions but keep in mind that unless there is a "Buy It Now" price listed above, I will not respond to any questions or offers to end an auction early...Thanks for your understanding! The fine print: Payment is due within seven days after end of the auction. I only accept payment through Paypal - if you do not have a Paypal account, please email me BEFORE bidding to inquire about alternative payment methods. Due to overwhelming requests, I generally ship domestic packages by Media Mail. However, please keep in mind that while Media Mail ihis the cheapest shipping method, it is also the slowest. Media Mail can take several weeks or MORE to arrive. Media Mail shipping within the United States is $4.00 including mandatory Delivery Confirmation. I do combine shipping for multiple purchases. The $4.00 covers between one and two albums. Additional albums (three and up) are an additional .25 cents each. Please wait for an invoice from me as the Paypal system does not calculate the combined shipping. Overseas shipping is by Air Mail only. Shipping for one LP to Canada is $14.00 and everywhere else in the world is $20.00. Overseas shipping is by regular air mail and can take anywhere from one to four weeks to arrive. I do combine shipping on overseas purchases - I will send an invoice with the combined shipping cost if you purchase more than one LP. Sorry I no longer ship to Italy or the Russian Federation due to the high number of "lost" packages. All records are mailed in cardboard record mailers with cardboard inserts to prevent damage. LP will be removed from the cover to prevent seam splits while in transit. I do offer a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with your purchase. I do not make my living selling on eBay it is supposed to be a fun hobby so if there is a problem at any point during the transaction please let me know so we can work out a solution. Thanks for looking and good luck!
