Description Your chance to get this collection of over 450 original jazz 78’s. As you can see from my feedback and past listings I am a specialist dealer in high end and collectable jazz albums. I recently purchased a collection of LP’s with which I had to also purchase these 78’s. I am not a specialist dealer in 78’s and so I just need to clear these on as a job lot to make some space in the warehouse. The original owner looked after these and started collecting them from an early age with many still in their original paper company sleeves. He collected over a number of years and also acquired other collections from friends etc. Just some of the artisits included with the job ot include : Coleman Hawkins, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Kenton, Bix Beiderbecke, Fats Waller, Eddie Laing, Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver etc. etc. etc. (you get the idea). I dont have a full list so please dont ask as I dont have the time to go through these all. Condition wise I was told that the 78’s were played with an electric needle rather than a wind up grammophone and overall visually to me the majority of them look pretty good and I would rate them VG to EX+ across the board but I dont have a 78 player and so cant test any out I am afraid. Collection only on these due to the weight and how fragile they are so if you cant come to Upminster to collect them from the store then please do not bother bidding as I am not shipping these out at all.
