David Bowie: The Man Who Sold The World 'Dress Cover' Mercury First Pressing. 6338 041 Absolutely superb copy of this extremelyrare record. This is an original, genuine first pressing and NOT the bootleg with the shoe close to the coversedge. Has correct ‘P’ next to 1971 and the textured cover. Artist: David BowieTitle: The Man Who Sold The WorldRelease Date: 1971Matrix:Side A: 633804 1Y//1 420 114Side B: 6338041 2Y//1 420 111 Cover: Textured CoverInner Sleeve: White polythene lined –British Patent No.800513 & 973939Made In England 20 0571Has ‘Plastic Bags Can Be Dangerous’ Text a printed in blue. Condition: Label: Held up to a strong light I can barely see three spindle marks on Side A and none on Side B. The black colour looks as new and the silver writing is super clean. Near Mint. Vinyl: The record itself is In superb condition, I have not come across one this good before, looks brand new with extremely wispy light surface marks from where the record has been slipped out of the inner sleeve. It can only have been played once or twice. I have inspected it under strong light and you really do need a strong light to notice.I’m very fussy when grading records. Excellent ++ Inner Sleeve: Almost as new, some extremely light adding with age and no corner creasing. Excellent ++ Textured Sleeve: A truly fantastic example of this rare ‘Womans dress’ cover. The sleeve is textured and super clean. Some light storage wear to two corners and a little at the bottom. Be hard to find a better copy than this,a truly great example. I'm very fussy about grading vinyl and take my time and give the most honest grading system that I can, I very very rarely label something as Mint unless the item is in its original shrink wrap with no storage wear at all. Postage: Postage is currently for U.K only 1st Class but this item will need to be sent signed for recorded delivery insured which we’ll sort out after the auctioned.
