Description Selling my Ultra Rare 7" Single by Gadfrey Lewis ~ Let The Message Play / Pretty Little Brown Eyes ~ Creation Productions ~ CP1 ~ 1984. In excellent condition and plays very well, still warm with deep bass and smooth background sounds. Anyone who is into their Roots Reggae will know what I mean!! Following information lifted from Discogs:Original LP release is on a German label [Schall Records]. This single is a UK release - arranged by S. Francis whereas I believe the LP version was arranged by Gadfrey Lewis himself so may be slightly different. The info about the musicians is taken fom a posting on the Roots Archives forum... In fact the only one I could find is on Discogs at $300 + postage for a VG copy. Condition is all important and although I am no expert on grading, I have checked on Discogs Grading ~ they follow the "Goldmine Standard" ~ however this standard is seen by many to be a) ambiguous and B) somewhat abused ~ but I am trying to be as open and honest here, downgrading rather than upgrading. I suppose I could easily have put this as Near Mint as no blemishes or scratches or crackles etc on playing at all, but it is 34 years old and I do not have the history of its early years. Will be posted out 1st class signed for, well wrapped & protected and in a strong cardboard container & then a bubble envelope. Home collection is always offered to save post & packing costs.
