This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of “J.R. Monterose” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1536. It has recently been verified that these first pressings had no Plastylite “P” on Side 1. (Later beaded rim pressings had the “P” on both sides.) The flat rim playing surface is in virtually new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The coated frame cover is clean throughout, with normal age toning; 3” superficial horizontal fabricating crease on the front at the center of the opening; 2 ½” crease at the lower right corner; ½ “ split on the top and bottom seams, at the opening. Personnel include Ira Sullivan, Horace Silver, Wilbur Ware, and Philly Joe Jones. WE NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL. However, you can continue to pay directly to us using VISA, MasterCard or Discover credit cards, if you prefer.
