Description Up for auction is a rare/scarce vinyl 12" lp: "JAMBOREE!" "The Complete Score of Warner Bros. Fabulous New Musical -- 18 Great Stars 22 Wonderful Songs" This is the soundtrack to the 1957 film Jamboree! (also known to UK audiences as Disc Jockey Jamboree) which was produced by Max J. Rosenberg and Milton Subotsky and directed by Roy Lockwood for Vanguard Productions. The film concerns a love story of a romantically involved male/female singing duo whose squabbling managers try to split them apart and make them solo artists--- The film features some of the biggest names of early/50s rock'n'roll singing some of their most beloved hits!!! This Soundtrack was never commercially released and instead was sent to radio DJs as a promotional item, making it one of the rarest Soundtracks ever, and most likely the rarest of rock'n'roll genre era 50s (and even 60s) soundtracks! This album never came with a Catalog Number, but true original copies are identified by the Matrix Numbers/Letters "JAM 1" and "JAM 2" in the dead wax. This includes those letters/numbers in the matrix! Condition: Vinyl lp is in VG (Very Good) visual grade condition with some scuffing and scratches visible. Some dulling of grooves/groove wear is visible on Side 2. Album Cover is fairly clean with some moderate shelf wear visible. Cover gloss retention is overall nice. There is some moderate rubbing along corner edges. There is a top seam split that measures about an inch across from opening edge. There is a bottom seam split that measures about an inch or so across from bottom opening edge. There is a seam split on the spine seam that measures about 2 inches in the center seam portion. Despite these flaws, the binding is actually fairly solid. Please see photos for more detail.
