LED ZEPPELIN - III ATLANTIC RECORDS - 2401-002 - UK 1970 "SO MOTE IT BE" and "DO WHAT THOU WILT" ETCHING IN THE DEADWAX MATRIX NUMBERS:A5B7 Led Zeppelin III is the third studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was recorded between January and August 1970 and released on 5 October by Atlantic Records. Composed largely at a remote cottage in Wales known as Bron-Yr-Aur, this work represented a maturing of the band's music towards a greater emphasis on folk and acoustic more progressive sounds. This surprised many fans and critics, and upon its release the album received rather indifferent reviews.Although it is not one of the highest sellers in Zeppelin's catalogue, Led Zeppelin III is now generally praised, and acknowledged as representing an important milestone in their history. Although acoustic songs are featured on its predecessors, it is this album which is widely acknowledged for showing that Led Zeppelin was more than just a conventional rock band and that they could branch out into wider musical territory. Vinyl: VG+ to EX . Great heavy looked after original UK press vinyl . A beautiful glossy vinyl with only a few light hairlines. One of these is longer and more noticable but only shallow and unfeelable. None of these do anything to the marvellous audio. Under a strong light some wispy retraction paper traces can be seen. These are totally invisible in normal light. I subjected the record to a detailed listen on my high end system and it did not disappoint. This sounded better than any re-issue like only a first press does. Lovely channel separation without any distortion or crackle. Light static was noticed at the start of each side. This vinyl will be an upgrade for many although not mint. Gatefold sleeve: EX. A great gatefold sleeve with the wheel. Like most of the Zep III albums this is the sleeve pressed in Germany. The UK supplier could not cope with the huge demand hence the emergency measure applied by Atlantic. The lamination is beautiful and the sleeve has been properly looked after without any creasing. The edges are totally unworn and the spine is fully legible. Labels: EX++. Beautiful labels without any writing or smudging. Light spindle traces only. This also has the original inner sleeve with blue print and poly liner. This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price. Important : International postage will be registered and insured if over GBP 30.00. Please wait for my invoice before paying. Postage will be according to Royal Mail rates. Postage is NOT a money spinning exercise for me. Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly! PLEASE REMEMBER to contact me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one! I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem! This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem. Thanks again!! This an excellent investment opportunity!!! Any questions please ask me and I will try to answer soon.
