I've enjoyed having this in my collection for close to 30 years, but it is time for this record to have a new home. Played it recently for the first time in over 20 years, for grading purposes, and it sounds great! Enjoyed the listening too, as I'm sure the new owner will too - lots of great piano and organ work. Thoughts (part 1) ~ Yes, this is the same Nova LP put up for auction that ended November 23rd. For whatever reason, the winner of that auction did not pay, and did not reply to messages beyond the twenty-third. An unpaid item case was initiated by me which I closed today, freeing me to relist the record. Now, what to relist at? I thought about marking up the price by 10% and listing as a buy-it-now, but I dismissed that idea as it did not sound right to me. I thought about extending a second chance offer, but that would exclude others who bid during the first auction. I thought about relisting with the same starting price but that could potentially leave me with a winning bid lower than in the first auction (needless to say, that definitely didn't sound right to me!). So, I've decided to wind back the clock 40 minutes and 11 seconds before the end of the first auction and start with the maximum bid placed by the 2nd to last bidder. Condition: Vinyl: Visually the record looks very good and plays with only minimal surface noise in a few places. There is some paper scuffing from being taken in and out of the inner sleeve and a couple faint hairlines that don't affect the sound. Overall this LP offers a great listening experience. EX Sleeve: The sleeve has a four inch crease towards the top right corner and a few very minor creases elsewhere. There are slight dings on the corners and a hint of ring wear and three stickers on the back that I'm leaving on for the new owner to do as they please. Overall, as seen from the photos, it's in pretty good shape. VG+ Insert: The inner sleeve has some split seams and ring wear but is otherwise in fine shape. Canada Post rates are being hiked up at the beginning of the year. I don't know if parcel rates are being affected, but would like to sell and ship this record before January 1st just in case there is an increase.
