"The Singing Fool" original Vitaphone disc for end reel of the film.This original 1928 synchronous soundtrack disc contains Al Jolson's dramatic and emotional rendition of "Sonny Boy" in the final reel of the film.A rarity for collectors of Al Jolson, records, or film history.This disc has a rare Vitaphone test label - black label - (all Vitaphone discs normally have white labels with black printing, this test label is all black with blank white areas for handwritten information) . . Reel number, etc., are also engraved in the "dead area" between the grooves and the label.This one-sided, 16-inch shellac record - pressed by Victor - is recorded at 33-1/3 rpm, and plays from the inner groove outward (there is an arrow engraved where the projectionist was to start the record).E+ condition - Beautifully recorded with superior sound for the period.Media Mail is $10.00, and not any differing amount that may erroneously appear within this listing.
