Description PILOT is composed of musicians BRUCE STEPHENS who was guitarist and lead vocal for BLUE CHEER, one of the original San Francisco heavies. All the musicians in PILOT bear impressive credentials . Mick Waller, drummer and co-founder, has played with the Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart. Jeff Beck, John Mayall, Little Richard, John Baldry, Jimi Hendrix and others. The other members of the band are Martin Quittenton, a multi-faceted guitarist who wrote the music for Rod Stewart's hit single, MAGGIE MAY, and Neville Whitehead, a jazz bassist who had played with people like Tony Bennett, and Sugarcane Harris. The group was soon augmented by Leigh Stephens, the lead guitarist (founder of the original BLUE CHEER. PILOT'S music speaks of all of these bands and years of playing. There is a scope and depth that goes way beyond "the first time around" band sound, a dense atmosphere of collective musical experience definitely worth getting into.
