Description PINK FLOYD A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS Issue : UK BLUE COLUMBIA 1st MONO PRESS Label : COLUMBIA Catalogue No : SX 6258 This UK 1st press is on the black and blue Columbia label and is complete with the original company inner sleeve and laminated flipback Patents pending Garrod & Lofthouse Mono sleeve. This 1st press is also complete with the rare earliest Mono XAX 3633-1 / XAX 3631-1 matrix. The vinyl is in Very Good condition. There is a jet black gloss, every track gleams. There are no significant signs of heavy play, there are however a few light marks on both sides. (Photo #12 offers an example of the marks. These are very light and are only clear when viewed in proper lighting). These marks have little affect on play. The label is superb, the black is exceptionally bold and the text is immaculate. There is just a little spindle wear. It is complete with the original company inner sleeve. The sound quality is Very Good. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and vibrant. There are moments of a little noise but there is still excellent separation and clarity throughout. The laminated flipback sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The colours are vivid, the text is solid and the image is perfect. The laminate has a superb gloss with just a couple of light creases. The unlaminated back is very bold and bright. There is some corner wear and a little wear to the opening edge but the whole of this sleeve is very solid and the spine is very firm with clear text.
