David Allan Coe: Requiem For A Harlequin SSS International-31Stereo Sound Recording Vinyl LPRequiem for a Harlequin is one of the hardest David Allan Coe records to find and one of the most unusual. It is the second album, a sequel to Penitentiary Blues, and released in1973. Side One is simply named, "The Beginning" and SideTwo, "The End". This concept album repeatedly uses the phrase "Asphalt Jungle" to describe the life Coe grew up in. On the back cover, it describes the story of how this album came to be written by he and his foster dad in the Ohio Penitentiary. They wrote it on the backs of prison letter heads and toilet paper in a span of 30 days: “The music was recorded live in Florida with the help of (JACK DANIELS) (FLORIDA SUNSHINE) AND (MARY JANES'S SWEET INSPIRATION)” -DACJacket is in Good+ Condition:There is noticeable ring-wear on both sides and is more apparent on front of the cover, a small crease on the bottom left corner that does not affect its stiff straightness, and a small hole on the top spine as shown in the photos.Record is in Very Good Condition:Hi Gloss with a few smudges, almost non-visible light scratches, plays throughoutAn Outlaw Country Collector's Treasure!
