Description Robert Johnson: "The Complete Recordings" (3 LPs in Box) 1990, USA/Columbia CS-46222. All three discs are in beautiful EX to M- shape. There are no spindle marks on any of the labels. The box has some very light starting wear, no splits, it gets an EX grade. Has the booklet and a marketing insert. On offer is a first edition of this exhaustive box set (it saw a reissue in 2010 in Europe). This collects all of his 78 rpm releases from the 1930s, in addition to a number of acetate recordings that were never released commercially. All of these recordings were made in the pre-tape era, so the masters were recorded direct-to-disc. They were remastered using digital noise reduction, which was a new technology at the time this box set was produced. These recordings are all mono, from shellac and metal discs, but the sound quality is very good.
