SALT-N-PEPA, BLACKS' MAGIC, ORIG 1990 UK FFRR LP, HIP HOP, EXCELLENT / VERY GOOD Salt-N-Pepa – Blacks' Magic Salt-N-Pepa are an American hip-hop group formed in New York City in 1985. Group members included Salt (Cheryl James), Pepa (Sandra Denton), and DJ Spinderella (Deidra Roper). They were signed to Next Plateau Records and released their single "Push It" in 1987, which hit number one in three countries and became a top 10 or top 20 hit in various countries. Their debut album, Hot, Cool & Vicious, sold more than one million copies in the US, making them the first female rap act to achieve gold and platinum status. Their fourth album, Very Necessary, sold over 7 million copies worldwide (5 million in the U.S.), making it the highest-selling album by a female rap act in history at the time. Side One: Expression; Doper Than Dope; Negro Wit' An Ego; You Showed Me; Do You Want Me; Swift; I Like To Party. Side Two: Blacks' Magic; Start The Party; Let's Talk About Sex; I Don't Know; Live And Let Die; Independent. The album is on FFRR Records, 828 164-1. Matrix side one: 828164 1 A-1U-1-1-1 (stamped). Matrix side two: 828164 1 B-1U-1-1 (stamped). Released in 1990. UK pressing. Stereo. See photos for more info. Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system) Vinyl side 1: excellent (has the odd very light superficial mark that can only be seen under bright light that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle, has a very slight warp that doesn’t affect the playback in any way). Vinyl side 2: very good (has a small scratch mark in the middle of the last track that causes about 12 light clicks, that apart plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle, has a very slight warp that doesn’t affect the playback in any way). Cover (glossy): excellent (a few small light edge creases, hype sticker on front). I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Check out the other records that I am selling at the moment by clicking on ‘view seller’s other items’. RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM: MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
