Description The Beatles Box 'From Liverpool' Limited 1980's Cassette Boxset This is the Limited Edition 'The Beatles Box - From Liverpool' on the Parlophone - World Records label from 1980, which includes 8 cassettes (124 tracks) - arranged chronologically from Love Me Do, the group's first Parlophone single, to Her Majesty, the final cut on Abbey Road. Each cover featured a previously unpublished color photo of the Beatles on the front and extensive liner notes detailing their career during the period represented by the album's songs on the back - individual, amazing, and unique. Originally only available through mail order. The catalog numbers are SM 701-08. The packaging is in excellent condition for an item that is 30 years old. The outer box shows very little wear and tear, apart from the corners which show a little scuffing (see photographs) The box edges are straight and fit the inner case perfectly, the cassette tapes, tape boxes and sleeves, plastic holding tray and guide pamphlet are also all in excellent condition. None of the tapes "look" like they have ever been played, and are in mint condition (see photographs) You can usually tell with tapes when they have been played because the tape inside the actually cassette start to generate rings, where the tape gets fast forwarded or rewound. The non-album recordings included are the single version of 'Love Me Do.' 'All My Loving' from the German Beatles Greatest LP, featuring a 6 tap hi hat intro. 'Thank You Girl' - the original mono version without John's extra harmonica fills. 'I'm Only Sleeping' - extremely rare version with a slightly delayed guitar solo. There are a few of these Beatles 1980's Cassette Box sets available on Ebay but in "my" opinion this set is in the best condition I have seen so far. A true collectors item for any Beatles fanatic or enthusiast.
