THE BEATLES - 'THE COLLECTION' This legendary audiophile vinyl box set was released by by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MFSL) in October 1982 It contains 14 discs cut directly from the original UK EMI analogue stereo master tapes which were specially loaned out for this set. The set also comes with a 40 page 'Artbook' which is numbered '1399' inside the front cover, which details how the set was put together and shows the front and back covers of all the UK albums. The box also comes with MFSL's 'Geodisc' cartridge alignment tool. The 'Certificate of Limited Warranty' is also present. CONDITION Discs: MINT - All discs have been played just once or twice at most are 'as new'. We have played each one in its entirety and can confirm that all play flawlessly and sound great. Covers: MINT - These fascinating covers are also 'as new' with no stresses to wear to any seam. However, some of the inner cards do have small stresses to their central fold. Artbook: EXCELLENT All pages inside are in perfect/MINT condition. We have down graded it slightly due only to some degradation to the gloss on the front & rear jacket. 'GEODISC': MINT Outer Box: EXCELLENT + Clean & strong with no wear to any of the delicate gold text. It's only sign of use is a mild bump to one of the upper left corners, which can be seen on the final image in this listing.
