Description PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING! Very first UK press of this classic Beatles album in super scarce Stereo with very early mother stampers.Matrix: XEX 178-2 / XEX 179-2Mother Stampers: 1R / 3GL Very hard to find and a tough one to grade. Generally the vinyl is in superb condition and normally I would grade somewhere around Excellent+. However, there is a scuff mark to Side 1, track 2 which causes ticks through that track (Norwegian Wood) but ONLY on this song. It looks as though the record has had a small handful of plays, was marked somehow in this area and then put away for the past 55 years.I have tried to photograph this area as best I can to show, so please be aware of this before bidding. The labels are Mint-, a very few faint spindle trails only under light, super clean, virtually impossible to find this clean.Other than the mentioned scuff, the vinyl retains it's full lustre and only has some wispy removal marks etc and a few light superficial marks only visible under strong light. One or two small areas to Side 2 inspected under strong light, the odd spider line etc. Generally the play back (apart from the mentioned track) is superb, one of the best i've ever heard. The main front laminate flip back sleeve is strong and sturdy and graded at strong Excellent, a little lamination lifting to opener, some lamination lifting to top left corner, a little light storage wear to edges. The reverse of the sleeve is beautiful, the white card is super clean and generally in really tidy condition, flip backs are strong and clean, really well looked after. Please inspect the pictures. I do not have an Emitex inner for this record but will add one if I come across one prior to this item ending. A hard one to grade and price so I have put this listing at a conservative price in accordance to the scuff. Please note I do Not Post to Brazil, Mexico, Italy or South Africa. I do post to Russia though it can take up to 6 weeks to arrive and anything being sent overseas will need to be signed for and insured up to the value.
