Original 2nd State Butcher Cover 1966 with #6 next to the RIAA logo. Original Capitol “rainbow” First Pressing Mono label with no “Subsidiary” print on label. Cover: VG. Original 2nd state (see pictures) with the “Butcher Cover” underneath. Corners are solid with no seam splits. Only a 1.75” wear area at center of top seam (see picture) and very light rubbing at center of bottom seam. Ringo’s black sweater is visible (picture included is enhanced) and there is a bit of the original “butcher” picture visible at bottom left (see picture). Back cover looks very good and spine is perfect (see pictures). No writing, but shows light rubbing in some areas. Could be a VG+ for other sellers. Vinyl: VG. Plays very good all the way through with no skips. Clicks here and there and light background noise that doesn't detract from the music. Very nice and enjoyable listen!! Includes original Capitol records inner sleeve. This is not a later bootleg reissue or a counterfeit cover!! This is the original album kids bought back in 1966!! Capitol Records pulled back the original cover due to the graphic nature of the original picture. Thousands of covers were destroyed but a few were saved and reused by pasting a more conservative Beatles picture on top of the original. This copy is one of those that survived the original recall.
