The girls' sassy vocals suit the song , and they deliver it in broken English and also Spanish. Also , the arrangement is more intricate and compelling , with a more accentuated cha-cha beat. On the flip side , the girls provide rudimentary instructions on how to dance the cha-cha-cha : " Come on and sway , come on and be gay " ( I assume that they mean " gay " in the old-fashioned sense of the word ! ). The arrangement on this side is more interesting than the lyrics. Finally , I can find no information regarding the Malagon Sisters. Their recording of " In A Little Spanish Town " failed to chart in the U.S. and the U.K. , but I don't know how it fared elsewhere.Carmen, Myrna, y Haydee (leader)WATCH TIN TAN & THE MALAGON SISTERS.IN YOU TUBE, RARE VIDEO CLIP!! The Malagon Sisters were a popular 1950s Latin singing group from the Dominican Republic and Haiti. The Malagon Sisters are the daughters of a former Dominican Diplomat and Ambassador to Haiti and Venezuela, Agustin Malagon Jr. and mother Carmen Malagon from Santiago de los Caballeros. Haydee Malagon, the oldest sister, was born in Haiti and headed the group as the lead vocalist while her two sisters Carmen Amelia Malagon and Gladys Malagon, who were born in Santiago de los Caballeros, rounded out the trio. They migrated to the United States in the year of 1940 with their mother Carmen Malagon and brothers Augstin, Arusy, Bolivar, and Euvol. The Malagon Sisters performed in many historic venues during their career like the Apollo Theater, Chateau Madrid, London Palladium, New York Palladium Ballroom, NY Palace Theater, Corso, and Copacabana. They also, appeared on TV shows like the Ed Sullivan Show (June 9, 1957) and Peter Lind Hayes Show (1958-59). They collaborated and performed with Tito Puente, Facundo Rivero, Angel S. Viloria, Tin-Tan, and René Touzet and the Cha-Cha Rhythm Boys. There is a 1 minute video clip of the Malagon Sisters performing with Tin-Tan in the movie "El vividor" filmed in Mexico and released July 11, 1956. The song "Oyeme Mama" or its English translation "Listen Mama" was recorded with Facundo Rivero released on Decca records in 1955. QUERY IT IN YOUTUBE!! The vinyl looks glossy and clearly has only been played a few times. There are no marks on the vinyl and the whole package is complete. Excellent (VG++): Same but I’d tolerate very light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times, or tiny signs of use generally. Very Good Plus (VG+): A few further faults are acceptable, but nothing that really compromises the record visually or audibly. A little rub, light inaudible marks, a little background crackle, No Skips. Very Good (VG): It’s seen a bit of life, but is still usable. Light pops and clicks, , light visible scratches but no skips. You can still listen to it and enjoy looking at it, but it is visually and audibly USED. To Be Sold As Is!...See the detailed remarks!
