Description Belinda Parker & Orchestra BB - Sabina BB Records / CBS BBLP008 198? An unknown boogie / modern soul record by Belinda Parker who according to the sleeve of African French descent and grew up in Africa. Her ‘Gipsy love’ released on Bill Campbell’s BB Records is more widely known but here is a truly off the radar record which I found in East Africa. It’s possibly a Kenya only release as the LP has a CBS label which looks identical to Kenyan records put out in the mid 80s. The big tune on this album for many will be ‘Go Away’ which is a modern soul / boogie funk affair with killer vocals, big bass and synth work! Other songs on here are soukous and soca style.
