Description Up for auction is a vintage Caravan Records "Little Black Sambo" red vinyl record in original cover and a 1943 Merrill Publishing Picture Story Book. The record is narrated by Milton Cross. No. 76512. It's made of unbreakable vinylite. The record and cover are in used condition. Please look closely at all of the photos to judge condition for yourself. The record has some small dark spots and scratches on both sides. I don't have a player, so I don't know the sound quality. The round center label is intact on both sides. However, side 2 has a few small pieces torn off. No chips or cracks on the record. The cover has some wear and tear. It has areas of discoloration and small holes on both sides. The front has some small holes and pieces of the cover torn off near the bottom. The flap on the back has small holes, discoloration and a piece is missing along the edge. The picture book measures 12 3/4" x 9 3/4". Merrill Publishing Co., Chicago, Illinois. No. 3441. It features the following stories with illustrations: The Three Bears, Little Black Sambo, Hansel and Gretel, The Three Little Kittens, Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Tortoise and the Hare, The Little Red Hen, Rumpelstiltskin and The Shoemaker and the Elves. The book is softcover, linen-like. It has some tears on the front and back covers and along the bottom edge on a few pages, a small black dot on one page, rounded corners and folded corners. No missing pages. The record and book will ship inside a cardboard box in order to provide plenty of protection I am not an expert and cannot guarantee this item does not have damage other than what is stated.
