Walkenhorst Brothers, The Last Adventure on Chapie Music, 1977. This is an ultra-rare psych album from one of the masters! Bob (Robert) Walkenhorst was the driving force behind this duo, along with his brother, Rex, and was involved in several other bands, including Trizo 50; The Rainmakers; Steve; Bob and Rich; Walkenhorst DePugh; and Walkenhorst and Porter. Bob is from the small west-central Missouri town of Norborne, which is where I stumbled upon this copy at an estate auction. In the lot was also a copy of the Walkenhorst DePugh MEGA-RARE (only 25 pressed) demo/promo one-sided album on Damon Records (Kansas City), which I also have listed. I also have a disc-only listing of the Last Adventure. The LP's tracks are: Side One: 1. Autumn Song 2. Burgers 3. Lonely 35 4. Winter Dreams 5. Lincoln Day Dinner 6. Growing Up Side Two: 1. Waiting for the Mail to Come 2. Taking My Time 3. Pom-Pom 4. The Invisible Man 5. When We Say Goodbye 6. The Last Adventure The condition of this copy is VG, with significant surface scuffing and several visible scratches. It also could use a good cleaning with professional equipment, which I do not have. However, none of these affect play-through, and given the rarity of this album, are not beyond reasonable. The jacket is also in VG condition, with no seem splits, but noticeable shelf wear. I don't have the original inner sleeve. I assure you----this is NOT a bootleg or reissue. I will provide free USPS Priority Mail to the winning bidder if in the US, and I will add appropriate insurance. You may, of course, upgrade to USPS Express Mail if you wish, at your expense. International bidders, please see the shipping tab for details. I ship all of my albums in professional record-mailers.
