This is a Welcome To Venice compilation LP on Suicidal Records of Venice California from 1985, # SLP 1001. I am not a fan of the goldmine record grading scale many use.I use a 10 scale. On a 10 scale the vinyl is an 8.75 simply because I played it a few times, minimal scratches,no scuffs. I did not find any issues with the jacket so it is a 9. Michael Seiff did the jacket drawings,he would continue to work with SxTx for some time.Once upon a time ,say the 80s,people wrote letters to each other. So,I remember Mike Muir saying he was really happy with this record. I bought it mail order from Suicidal Records/Triple M in 1985. Suicidal Records was Mike and Louiche Mayorga of SxTx. All of the bands on this generally play a metallic style of hardcore punk, though Beowulf is close to heavy metal.. Sometimes the bands are way to the side of metal,at times speedcore, other times straight hardcore. It is very much represents the Venice/Venice Beach California area. So,Suicidal Tendencies do Look Up.....(The Boys Are Back).I believe Rocky George is on guitar. Beowulf has been around since 80,maybe.They do Taste the Steel and Unicorn. Los Cycos includes Mike and Louiche with Grant Estes on guitar. He played all of the guitar on Suicidal Tendencies 1st LP so you know how that sounds, real good. They do one song, It's Not Easy. No Mercy also has Louiche as a member and they perhaps sound the most like SxTx. They do No Mercy and War Machine. I recall getting the Excel demo from Dan Clements.I don't recall them having anything else out prior to this compilation. They are great and do Enforcer, Conclusion and Make Up Your Mind. . I will combine shipping and ship as cheap as possible by weight.Payment via Paypal or Cashiers Check. If you buy more than one item from me I will ship everything together and base shipping charges on the weight of the total package. I will ship all over the world. Let's expand on that since ebay wants a disclaimer now on shipping out of the USA. You need to know the customs rules of your own country. You have to pay the fees, tariffs, etc if there are any when the item gets to your country. Customs forms have to be accurate as well. I will send stuff First Class at your risk, your decision. First Class is untracked and uninsured.Well,it is somewhat trackable as to where/when it leaves the USA,but things can get sketchy when trying to use tracking number in your home country. That means if the package is lost, due to there being no/minimal tracking,it is more or less impossible to find. Even more important is that there is no insurance on it,so if it is lost your refund money is lost. No refund on lost First Class packages. Think hard about shipping Priority. It is more expensive (way more in some cases),but tracked and insured. So,even if the package was lost you get your money back. You have to decide if the risk of First Class is worth the money you save on shipping. That is up to you. Media Mail in the US is $2.53US Priority is $5.80US. Canada First class is $10.55US Priority is $28.25US. UK/Europe/South America First Class is $16.75US Priority is $42.00US. Japan/Pacific Rim First Class is $16.75US Priority is $42.50US. Australia First Class is $16.75US Priority is $39.95US.Other countries of similar location will have similar shipping prices. Priority is best, tracked and insured. I repeat,First Class is at you own risk. It is untracked(minimally tracked),so if the package is lost your refund money is lost.Having said that First Class has been doing sorta OK of late. There are horror stories of lost records though. You don't want that to happen to you.Thanks.
