This is one of a series of vinyl albums specialising in archive wartime recordings released by Communications Archives Inc. based in Westfield, New Jersey, USA. This is volume focuses on German SS military marches recorded during the Second World War taken from original 78rpm shellac recordings performed and recorded by bands of the era. I can appreciate that this is a contentious subject for many people but these are historical documents, many of which were almost lost completely in the wholesale destruction of items associated with the National Socialist Party and the military following the conflict. These rare recordings have been transcribed and noise reduced with care and retained for posterity on these scarce vinyls.
